My Coffee Bar - A Roadkill Rescue

Once upon a time, a glistening box from the side of the road caught my eye.
As we approached it, I realized it was tall, narrow, and mirrored.
On it hung a sign with my favorite 4-letter F-word:
FREE!
So obviously, I had to have it.
I wasn't even quite sure what it was, but I still needed it anyway.
But the husband said, "NO WAY!"
After whining working my charm, I convinced him to stop and load it up for me.
It turned out to be an old, out-dated, hasn't seen Windex is many years, icky, dirty, jewelry armoire.
I didn't need a jewelry armoire, but I had dreams of how I could transform it.

Here's the before and after:

To be honest, it was really easy to do.
First, I scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed.
Did I mention I scrubbed?  Because I did.  A lot.
Because it was gross {evidence pictured below}

Pure NASTY-ness!

Then I removed the horrid etched mirror door.
Next I primed and painted the inside of the armoire with paint that I had on hand.
The armoire came with chipped glass shelves.
I didn't want to get glass cut for the shelves, so I fixed it with...
...wait for it, wait for it...
DUCT TAPE!

Duct tape has really become fashionable.
It comes in a ka-jillion different styles, colors, and patterns.
I used red and ivory chevron duct tape from Target's dollar bin.

A few accessories later, I had myself a coffee bar.
I loooove how it turned out and I only invested $1 total!!!!

My trash to treasure coffee bar!!!

On top of my coffee bar I have my coffee maker {DUH?!?},
chocolate, and a few other accessories.

The shelving unit holds different flavors of coffee and tea,
mugs, and a few vintage touches.

The black canisters {Target} hold different flavors of coffee and
the glitter can holds stirring sticks.

A couple mugs and a metal tea-themed bucket holds some tea.

A vintage sugar bowl from my Grandma
